Playbook is new and has no coaches on it yet. There are no numbers on this page about hours saved or teams served, because there is nothing to measure. What there is instead: a plain list further down of what is built and what is not, so you can decide in two minutes rather than three weeks.

What's actually in it.
Each of these maps to code that was opened and checked before this page was written. The list of what isn't in it is directly below, and it's longer than you'd expect from a coaching-software page.
The practice plan, written
Sport, age group, skill level, minutes, focus areas, squad size, equipment you've got. Back comes warmup / technical / game / cooldown, each with drills, setup, step-by-step instructions, coaching points, and an easier and a harder variation. This is the reason to buy Playbook.
The parent email, drafted
Give it the subject and the points; get back a subject line, a body, and a flag for whether parents actually have to do something. It writes it. You send it from your own email — Playbook has no delivery of any kind. More on that below.
Schedule and roster on your device
Games, practices, locations, players, parent contacts, emergency notes. Held in the browser you're using — which is why it's private, and also why it does not follow you to a second phone or laptop. Treat it as your clipboard, not your filing cabinet.
Drill breakdowns on demand
Name a drill — yours, one you saw, one borrowed from another sport — and get category, players needed, equipment, setup, numbered steps, the mistakes to watch for, and how to make it harder. Useful five minutes before a session when you've forgotten how it runs.
Parent fee payments
A working parent-facing page shows a family what they owe and opens a genuine Stripe checkout for the balance. Card fees are Stripe's; Playbook takes no percentage of what you collect. The gaps: nothing chases a late payer, and read the note below on how a parent gets in.
Nine free tools, no signup
Bracket maker, round-robin scheduler, standings table, team generator, practice timer, coaching glossary, game-day checklist, drill library, positions and rules. No account, no card, no email address. Use them and never buy anything — they're all linked in the footer.
What isn't built yet.
Most of these are advertised as shipped by software in this category. In Playbook they are not, and you should price that in before you pay for anything.
Nothing reaches a parent
No text message, no email, no push. Playbook cannot send to a parent and the app tells you so when you press Send: your message is saved on your device and goes nowhere. The "emergency broadcast to all parents" button does not broadcast. Until that changes, the messaging tools are drafting tools and nothing more.
No RSVPs, no reminders
There is no RSVP anywhere in the product, and nothing sends a reminder the night before a game. If you've been told coaching software does this — it does; this one doesn't yet.
No read receipts
The database column exists and is never filled in. You cannot see who opened a message, because nothing marks one as read.
The parent portal has no front door
Parents get a real login, schedule, fee balance and Stripe payment page — but a parent account can only be created from a coach invite, and there is currently no way for a coach to generate one. Until that ships, treat parent payments as built-and-waiting, not usable.
No multi-team or assistant-coach accounts
No club dashboard, no assistant logins, no roles or permissions, no lineup sheets, no attendance tracking on the coach side, no export. If you run an academy, Playbook is not ready for you — come back later rather than paying now.
No drag-and-drop, no sync, no annual plan
The practice builder is written text you edit, not a drag-and-drop board. Your data doesn't sync between devices. And there is no yearly billing option, whatever any other page here says.
Your first week, honestly.
There's no implementation, no data import and no integration to configure — mostly because there's nothing to integrate with.
Day one — the account
Name, email, password, your sport. Then Stripe, which takes a card and starts the 14-day clock. About two minutes. Nothing is charged until day 15.
Day one — a person
Email hello@bizbottech.com and Steve, who runs BizBot and built this, gets on a call and writes the first practice plan with you — your age group, your equipment, your session length. BizBot is small enough that the founder still does onboarding himself, which is also why there is no 24/7 support desk. Straight trade.
Day two — the real test
Generate the plan for your actual next session and take it to the field. Not a sample team, not the demo. The only question worth answering is whether the drills survive contact with your under-10s.
Mid-week — the awkward email
Use the message drafter on something you've been putting off: the fees reminder, the playing-time conversation, the tournament logistics. Copy it into your own email and send it from there.
Rest of the week — the free tools
The bracket maker and round-robin scheduler need no account at all. Point another coach at them; they cost nothing and they're the least oversold thing on this site.
Day 13 — decide
Did the practice writer save you a Sunday night? If yes, $19/mo is an easy call. If no, cancel from your account page before day 15 and you're charged nothing. There's no retention call and no win-back sequence.
Pay $19. Ignore the other two.
Checkout offers three tiers, and we're not going to pretend they're three products. Today all three deliver exactly the same thing, because nothing in the code checks which plan you're on. So take the cheapest one.

The trial takes a card at Stripe checkout and bills on day 15 unless you cancel. Month to month, no contract, no setup fee. There is no annual plan — if you see one advertised anywhere on this site, it doesn't exist in Stripe and can't be bought.
The questions you'd ask on the call.
What sports does it actually handle?
Whatever you type in. The plan writer takes the sport as a free-text field, so it will write a session for water polo or ultimate as readily as for soccer. It knows the general shape of a coaching session and the vocabulary of most sports; it does not know your league's specific rules, and it will occasionally suggest a drill that needs equipment you said you don't have. Read the plan before you run it.
Do parents need an account?
There is a parent portal with its own login, and yes, a parent has to create an account with an email and a password to use it — there are no magic links and no SMS anywhere in Playbook. And the honest part: a parent account can only be created from a coach-issued invite, and nothing in the product currently issues one. So today the parent side is code that exists and is not yet reachable.
Will Playbook message the parents for me?
No. It drafts. Nothing in Playbook sends a text or an email to a parent — the app says so out loud when you press Send, rather than showing a green tick and quietly doing nothing. Copy the draft into your own email or team chat and send it from there.
How does payment collection work?
The parent-facing page adds up what a family owes and opens a real Stripe checkout for the balance. Stripe's card fee applies; Playbook adds nothing on top and takes no cut of what you collect. Two caveats: nothing chases a late payer, and the invite problem above applies here too.
Where does my roster live, and can I get it out?
Roster, schedule and notes are stored in the browser you're using — not on a server, not in an account that follows you. That's genuinely private, and it also means clearing your browser data or switching to a new phone loses it. There is no export button yet. Keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Month to month, no annual contract, no minimum. Cancel from your account page before day 15 and the trial costs you nothing. After that you keep access through the month you've paid for.
How many coaches use Playbook?
None. It has never run a season. That's the real risk of buying this and it's why the not-built list above is on the page instead of buried in a changelog — if a missing piece is a dealbreaker, we'd rather you find out in the first minute than the first month.
